5 questions to... a new employee Mahesh Kulkarni, Junior Specialist Industrial Engineering

In our format "5 questions to... a new employee" we present Mahesh Kulkarni today. He has been working at Analytik Jena as a Junior Specialist Industrial Engineering since April 2021.

How did you come to Analytik Jena?
When I was looking for a new professional challenge, Analytik Jena was recommended to me. Then I looked at the company profile and liked it directly. That's why I applied on my own initiative and then received an invitation to an interview.

What was your first impression of the company and how did your first days go?
My first impression was that Analytik Jena is a successful and growing family business that takes care of its employees. I noticed that right on my first day. It was a very friendly and personal onboarding process where I got to know my new colleagues and my areas of responsibility.

What are your tasks and what does a current working day look like?
My main task is the analysis of production figures in visualized form in the business intelligence software to improve decision-making processes and transparency. Other tasks include lean management and the optimization of workplaces.

What does a typical weekend look like for you?
I am a musician and singer and I am also learning to speak dubbing. That's what I practice on weekends.

What do you wish for your future at Analytik Jena?
I would like to become an expert in the analysis and digitization of processes in order to enable better decisions and growth for Analytik Jena.
